Hola de Costa Rica! Bienvenidos!
We are all so excited to be here. The past three days have been absolutely phenominal. We were welcomed on Saturday with open arms and open hearts. The kids at camp were so loving, and we are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work with them. Even though they did not know us or speak our language, they never hesitated to hold our hands our give us hugs. Watching them leave was difficult, but knowing that they touched our hearts as much as we touched theirs made it all worthwhile.
Today we completed service projects around the camp. We cleared multiple piles of wood and debris from numerous areas of the camp's property as well as dug many, many, many holes for fence posts that will go up later. It was hard work, but we had fun doing it!
Not only have we been working hard, but we have also been playing hard! We have taken walks up and down the river that runs in front of our cabins, and we have danced... a lot! It's amazing how two cultures can connect without words.
